The Anita Hill Lifetime Achievement Award is presented annually by the DCCRW
The Dallas County Council of Republican Women usually presents the Anita Hill Lifetime Achievement Award at the holiday tea in December of every year
The award honors an outstanding Republican woman who has consistently and continuously supported the Republican Party, its candidates and its goals, objectives and values year after year.
The award winner must have been
• a primary member of a Dallas County Council Republican women’s club for at least five years,
• hold current membership in that club, and
• demonstrate a consistent Republican voting record.
The award is named in honor of the late State Representative Anita Hill of Garland, who served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1977 to 1993. She was an active community volunteer until she was encouraged to run for public office. Ms. Hill took pride in her work on behalf of the elderly and children that included nursing home regulation and mandatory children’s safety car-seat use.
The honorees’ names are on a plaque at Dallas County Republican Headquarters, on the wall in the room where the DCCRW meets.
